Hi all, I am planning a trip to Paros in June with my family. We fly into Athens from Rome at 2pm & I would prefer to head out to Paros that day. Do I have time to travel to the port of Pireus and catch a ferry at 5.30pm. I am happy to get a taxi or private pick up from the airport. Or do you think this is this too risky??

but yes you can do it, the ride will take 60-100 minutes depending on the traffic, plenty of taxis will wait for you at the airport anyway.
But as suggested in the other thread why dont you relax in Athens for one day and take the boat the next morning?

Boat to Paros is at 07:25 or 17:30 from port of Piraeus. You do not really need a taxi the metro (8.00€) it will take you out of Athens airport (line 3), you will change metro line at Monastiraki station (line 1) and you will be out at the Piraeus terminal just across the port entrées (time 00:59:00 no more than 90 min)
