We will be in Paris July 1 -11. Do I get an air card for my laptop in Paris? Do I get it in the Us (it is really expensive) any other suggestions? Thanks Mamazzitta in California

Hi. Can you get wifi on your laptop? We just stay in hotels with free wifi and that gives us Internet access in Paris. When booking hotels, check because some have Internet access throughout the hotel and others have it only in public areas. If you don't mind taking your laptop to the lobby, that works but it's more convenient in your room. There are also Internet cafes and free wifi spots all over town. What you may need to buy is a SIM card for your cell phone. You must have an unlocked 3G or 4G cell phone. Then you can get a French SIM card for about 10 euros that will give you phone access in Europe. We use Orange. There are Orange stores all over town where you can get the original SIM card. If you don't know how to put it in, they'll help you. You can top up the time on the original purchase at any tabac and most groceries and all Orange stores. Be sure your phone is unlocked before you go. If you don't know, take it to your local cell phone store and ask them. Enjoy your trip.

As Sally says above, many hotels have free wifi. Mainline stations have rooms for it, McDos have free wifi, plus many localities have free wifi through free.fr. Just open your laptop and I'm certain you'll find it even sitting on top of the Sacré Coeur on the steps, wouldn't do anything with your bank or suchlike on it though. BTW, what is an air card, sorry but I've never heard of it ?

Just throwing in another vote for using free wifi where available: have done so in France, Italy and United States with just my itouch. We don't even take a phone as it's far cheaper and less hassle to go the wifi route.
