Are there any American ex-pats in Paris who celebrate the 4th of July with fireworks? Will be in Paris on the 4th this year - any chance of seeing fireworks?
Setting off fireworks in France is very strictly controlled. I very much doubt that you'll find people out on the street with them. Perhaps if you were invited to the Ambassadors residence.....

They usually do something like a barbecue or a picnic on the nearest weekend, but I had to laugh at an event on following website - in Paris at least it seems someone has moved your Independence Day to 15 July! americancenterfrance.org/fro...

The fireworks due to French restrictions is not done by public groups in Paris, however, if belongs to assoc we go to outside Paris and fire those rockets from our get together in a private home, and hot dogs, and coca cola too lol!!
