We will arrive to CDG airport in Paris, but I am not sure where to book a hotel. I would like something clean, safe and that includes breakfast near attractions. Any tips? Thank you
Hi At the top of the page there is a blue strip. On the strip is a HOTELS sign. Click on that, and then Paris. Another good site (I have used this recently to book hotels in Italy) is Hotels.com. Tripadvisor also is very helpful, but reviews are usually too confusing for me.

See the accommodation tip on my paris page - I give my reasons for staying in the Latin Quarter as near as possible to the RER line stations.

Thank you!! I checked your Paris webpage, it was very informative. I will stay in the Latin Quarters. I wanted to book in the hotel you recommended it, but it is all booked for the days I will be staying. Any other hotel around?

Have a look in th ehotels pages and members' tips in here. There are lots of hotels in the Latin Quarter of Paris so it should be possible to find somewhere.

I just made hotel reservations for a couple days in Paris and I found the hotels in the Latin Quarter did not provide the quality to price. If you book a hotel along the main stations that there RER B line goes through (Gare du Nord, Chatellet/Les Halles, Blvd St. Michel/ Luxembourg Gardens) you are very convenient as to getting easily back and forth from the airport and can easily hit the local attractions. I did find a very good deal in the Bastille area using hotwire, which puts me very close to the RER B line. Karl

Try moderne-saint-germain-hotel.... This is a different web address for the same hotel and you may find a room. I always try several web sites for a hotel before giving up on it. You could also try http://www.booking.com where I've found rooms that according to their own web sites don't have any rooms. I don't understand any of this, but do know it helps to look around a little. We love the Latin Quarter and it's a good choice for many reasons: near the RER train from CDG, walking distance of most major sights, lots of restaurants in all price ranges, many hotel choices, lovely gardens, busy at night so safe, etc. Our favorite hotel is actually in St. Germain but very near the Latin Quarter. It is a half block from Mabillon Metro Station, one block from St. Germain Metro Station and just a few blocks from the RER station at St. Michel-Cluny. We've walked to the RER station many times. It is the Hotel Clement and is across the street from the St. Germain Market in an area with lots of bakeries and restaurants. clement-moliere-paris-hotel.... Another favorite that I've now decided is out of our price range is the Hotel de la Sorbonne (now renamed Hotel Design Sorbonne). It is in the Latin Quarter across from the famous Sorbonne University. There is a pleasant square nearby with restaurants and shops and you can easily walk to and from the RER station. http://www.hotelsorbonne.com/index.html They are both excellent hotels and well located. We have also used http://www.booking.com and http://www.venere.com I like booking.com because they have reviews. I read some of the recent ones and some of the recent reviews on http://www.tripadvisor.com as a comparison. I throw out the very best and very worst of them and figure the average review will probably give me a good idea of what I'll find at the hotel. Reviews with photos are useful. You can also type Paris into the VT Search Window above and see what other VT members have recommended under Hotels and Accommodations. It's a great resource. You can also click on the name of anyone who answers you here and check their Paris Travel Pages for Hotel Reviews. Lots of great resources here on Virtual Tourist. Enjoy Paris.

Forgot to mention. When you are checking rates, look for the rate that includes breakfast if that is what you want. We find it cheaper to eat at a nearby boulangerie or cafe but eating at the hotel is certainly convenient.

Hi, If you stay more than a week, I advice you to rent an apartment for a short term rental. It is far cheaper and you feel like a parisian ! I used to rent this one : rent-apartment-paris-france.... and it is very nice, good location, clean and handy. Enjoy your stay
