I intend to take the Eurostar from Paris to London. I have searched, but am still not sure about logistics of the Paris Nord station. Will someone please tell me where and how to either check or handle baggage for the train? Also, can you tell me in what section of the station the baggage check and departure gates for London are located?
You don't check baggage, you carry it on the train yourself and store large items in racks at the end of your carriage, smaller ones in the (double) rack above the seats, along both sides of the carriage. I haven't been to Gare du Nord since the renovations earlier this year, but as far as I know, Eurostar platforms are still 3-6. All you really need to do is follow the signs, which will direct you up an escalator to Level 1 where you will find a number of gates, and put your ticket in the machine next to the gate (there are staff onhand also). Then you have passport controls (French exit, UK entry) and security check on you and your luggage, then you wait with your luggage until invited to board the train, then you follow everybody else... Looking at this you might want to get there early: youtube.com/watch?v=9lvxRv1D...

yes just follow the signs to the eurostar check in, its very easy, I did this with our group of 4, plus a baby, after only getting 30 minutes of sleep, very early in the morning. I don't think checking bags is an option at all, but I could be wrong.

Gaminari is correct. You do not check your bags on the Eurostar. There are luggage holders and the ends and in the middle of each car. A good reason to pack light. Everything is very well marked at the station and if you can't find what you want, just ask someone. So far as I can tell, the station seems to be busy all the time so lots of people to ask. We arrived at Montparnasse once at 5 AM and not only were there people about; when we asked a little family where to find our gate, they walked us to the gate to be sure we would find it. You will find people in France very helpful if you ask. Enjoy your trip.

Do be aware that Eurostar has baggage security screening like airlines and you need to be 'checked-in' up to 30 minutes before departure. As you can imagine, with around 700 people on each train, this process can be fairly tedious and time consuming so allow sufficient time.
