Hello :) My Boyfriend and I are going to Paris in June and spending just under 3 days there. We are both 22 and want to eat good food, see the sights and find somewhere to have a good time at night? As we are only in Paris for 3 days we don't want to spend all our time in museums but we still want to see the sights and get a good feel for Paris life. Any suggestions for reasonably priced places to drink and dine in the evenings would be great!!?? Thanks!!!

Yes check out the travel pages with all the tips and restaurant suggestions. However, consider also where you might stay - for example, we always stay in the Latin Quarter because it has a bustling exciting atmosphere, and loads of places to eat - but then allows for an interesting stroll to and from the restaurant. Oh - and for your first view of the Eiffel Tower (day or night) walk or take metro to Trocadero and take-in the sight from the balcony there. One of the best sights in the world I think!

Here is my standard first reply for questions such as yours 1) Eat Good Food - What do you want to eat? What do you mean by good? 2) Good Time at Night - What is your view of a good time? 3) Reasonably priced places to drink and dine - What does reasonably priced mean to you? My answers would probably we different then yours on all 3 as my wife and I are a tad older and in fact have 4 children all older then you. I probably couldn't even get the same answers from all 4 of my kids (young adults) if they were all going to Paris for 3 days. Let us know. If I can't assist you others here will be more then helpful. But help direct their answers with answering the questions. Otherwise you might get everybodies personal opinion. With that being said here are a couple of potential things for you to do. We have been in Paris twice in the past couple of years and were just there for 4 days last month. 1) A cruise on the Seine River either a dinner cruise or just a regular cruise without a meal. 2) Find some hidden parks or well known parks and walk through them and have a picnic 3) Buy some bread and pastry just about anywhere in Paris. YUM That will get you started.

There is a lot of great food, and a lot of overpriced restos. Fortunately, the restos must post their menu outside so you can see the cost of dining. You will find that while wandering about there are boulangeries and the like that will have all sorts of things. Or you can head to streets like rue Rambuteau just east of Les Halles by St. Eustache and there are many take out places with great food, crepes, waffles.... or selected restos such as Assiete et fromage (on my paris page) where you can get a very reasonably priced fondue dinner. For nightlife, check out VT member "benfromparis"'s Paris page. He has a lot of great info. Karl
