Maybe you can post which hotel you always stay at. I suggest that if you like it perhaps you should return as it seems to satisfy all of your criteria. I have not found any Parisian hotel to have thick walls no matter the cost.

CGF : thanks but I know what's is on MY home page ... ahahaha :) So clearely speaking, I'm looking for a hotel that isn't in this list.

CALSF : The one I always use for the romantic atmosphere is l'HOTEL DES CROISES. Another one I go more often mostly for "practical" use is Tourisme Hotel ( first on my selection ). Now, I REALLY need to find something different for several reasons.

Hotel des Croises is now the Hotel Langlois. That is a nice hotel, but I see what you mean that you'd like to stay in a different area as the hotel's in the 9th.

I saw that you recommend the Hotel Wagram, 5, rue poncelet, 75017 Paris. I wanted to let you know that it is not romantic or nice at all ! I went there a few days ago and I can tell you that it's dirty, the employees are so rude, and moreover they are dishonest !!! For instance they charge you an extra 15 euros for the second person ... even if you booked for a double room !!! obviously they are crooks !
