Is there a tourist information office within Charles de Gaulle Airport at which one can reserve inexpensive rooms?
do not know what you consider inexpensive . this site might be of some help to you ( www.newfrontiers.com ) if lack of a credit card is a problem you might look at the austraian airline site and check out the hotel reservation link there. the company on that link use to allow you to book hotel without a credit card . you just had to show up at the hotel before a certain time. 5pm to 7.30 pm depending on the city.

Thanks for your reply! Actually what I'm trying to find out is if there is a tourist information office in the airport that books rooms. I know they do this in Germany, so I'm pretty certain it can be done in France as well. I'm asking the question for a friend of mine. She has never been to Paris before and is leaving here to study there on Tuesday. She doesn't know anyone in Paris, but somebody on the internet has promised to rent her his apartment. In case the person renting the apartment turns out to be a fake, she'd like to have some option to get a room at the last minute. I suggested that she ask the tourist information office in the airport, but we haven't found any proof yet that this service actually exists in Paris.
