I am thinking about a trip to Paradise Island in the Bahamas in June. I know this is prime rainy season. I also know we cannot predict the weather. What I would like to know is if generally the rain comes for a short time during the day followed by the sun, or if when it rains, does it rain cats and dogs all day long? If anyone knows from experience, I'd love to find out so I can decide whether to take a chance on booking or not. Thanks.

Hi, What are the activities an adult who does not know to swim can take in paradise island. Or you will enjoy only if you know swimming ? Is snorkeling there mandates to know swimming ? Highly appreciate your inputs.
Wondering how much is it to get at day pass to Atlantis. We are staying at the RIU and planning to spend a lot of time at the atlantis water parks. etc. I hear that stuff at the Atlantis is free after 530. True??? Is there a package to buy?
We are planning a trip in June but are confused about the meal plans. Different web sites indicate different restaurants under the regular or gourmet plans. Our main question is if eating at other than a buffet, is there a special menu at the restaurants for those opting for the meal plan or is it a choice of any one entre' from their regular menu? Also, for anyone that has used a meal plan do you have any advice as to best times or particular restaurants to concentrate on using? One more question on the meal plans, is the charge for the meal made to your room then deducted at checkout or no indication made on your bill at all whether you used it or not? Thank you in advance for your reponse.
I am taking a cruise to Nassau next week. I wondered if I could take the ferry water taxi from the harbor to Paradise island and Atlantis and stay at Atlantis resort for a few hours and then return back on the ferry taxi? Also is it easy to walk to the Atlantis resort from where the ferry water taxi stops?
Could someone tell me where the nearest Winn Dixie or other marketplace would be? We are traveling with three families, 8 kids, and need snacks, milk, etc. Do the rooms have refrigerators/microwaves? Would you suggest bringing a cooler? Are there ice machines available? Thanks! Gracias!
What if we will stay besides the Atlantis and want to go to the water parc. Is there a way for us to get passes at the towel counters? How much should we expect to pay for a day at the parc? Are there any way to buy wristbands for sheap? Regards Yves
Going to visit Atlantis in July 08. Someone told me that when they visited, the resort (restaurants?) sold large refillable plastic drink cups. They told me that the resort won't inform you, but that those cups can be refilled for free while you are there. Does this sound remotely familiar to anyone? Thanks

One thing I do spend money on is good food and wine but compared to Mexico the Carribean and in particular Nassue is overpriced for seafood. Considering they can walk out and get it. I have never in my life met a small pan pizza that was worth 23.00. Flour water tommato cheese ?? Compared to Paradise Island and Cable Beach Mexico is a bargin

Hi, I'm trying to plan a vacation/wedding in May 2007 for my family of 7. My 12 yr old son is in a wheelchair and I need to find out how to get him from the airport to the Atlantis resort in Nassau. I don't care what it costs, we need to make sure we can get him to the resort or we can't book the trip. The wheelchair does not fold up but can sit in the back of a van. Can you help? thanks, michele
The only way I can go on a family vacation to Atlantis is if I'll be able to send and recieve email and use my (or a rented) cell phone. I know it's not the point of going, but it's the only to be sure I'll have a business when I get home. Does anyone have any first hand experience? Any tips? Thank you.
