    • Transportation from Trancoso

      Trancoso Apr 23, 2015 at 4:40 PM

Hi, I'm new here! I'm travelling from London to Trancoso in May! My return (domestic) flight is early in the morning (5.30am) from Porto Seguro.

How is transportation like in the early hours of the morning (2-3am)? is there a reliable bus service that runs at that time or are taxis available? And around how much would it cost? How long should I allow for travel, and is it safe to travel at that time?

      Cheers for your time!

      Questions about Airbnb

      Brasil May 2, 2015 at 10:29 AM

I wish to start using the services of Airbnb and I have read enough on the subject. However I have some uncertainty and "insecurity", since it always deals with a physical and not a legal entity. I know of cases of cancellations at the last minute and other disorders, which ultimately undermine the credibility of the service.

Does anyone have a long experience in using this website?

      Already, thank you.

Travel guides often advise carrying two wallets: one with most of the traveler's money, and the other, for pickpockets and such, with a "small amount" of money. Q: how much is a "small amount" of money that might still satisfy the thief?

      Hi! Guys

I have done a lot of researches try to find a good Pantanal eco tour.

Has anyone heard about Pousada Santa Clara ? this agency is extremely cheap (05 days / 04 nights for R$ 460,00 ). I know we should not trust cheap one but my budget is really limited, and where I heard about this agency was from a guy has been to the Pantanal. I just hope to hear more opinions

      Thanks in advance!

      is it really worth it?

by travelmama2007 Online Now Jan 28, 2007 at 9:34 PM

I'm planning a trip to brazil and I'm finding that I don't have enough time to fit all of my top spots in. I love nature, animals, etc... So I've always wanted to see the amazon, the pantanal, and iguazu. But now I want to add on Bonito and of course there's rio. Since I just had a baby recently, I no longer have the luxury to go for very long. So I'm thinking of skipping Pantanal and Bonito. The pantanal looks as if it might be kinda drab with just lots of birds (I'm not into birding) and the super cool animals are not regularly seen (i've seen coatamundi, crocs/alligators, deer, etc.) And bonito may be similar to spring diving in Florida with the large tarpon and manatees. If anyone's been to these places, I'd greatly appreciate your opinions. If I have only around 10 days or so (and even those laden with my feeling guilty)...is the pantanal and/or bonito really necessary?

      Pantanal and Bonito Questions

by smartlass Online Now Jun 18, 2005 at 10:17 AM

I am planning on visiting the Pantanal and Bonito in August and have a few questions.

Many of the pantanal tours advertise horseback rides as part of the tour. I don't really like horses and I exceed the weight limit for most horses, so I don't think that's an option for me. If I can't ride the horses, will there be other options on the tour (boat ride, hike, etc.) while the rest of the group is on horses, or will I be stuck at the camp/pousada/fazenda while they are out?

I noticed that many of the tours in Bonito require a wetsuit. I'm worried that they may not have one large enough to fit me, so would like to find options that wouldn't require me to wear one.
How cold is the water in August?
Are there tours (hikes, rafting, snorkeling) that do not require a wetsuit?

      Thanks for your help
