We are arriving in November and need to go to Coronado Bay directly on arrival, and want to take a taxi. What should this cost us and how far and long is the trip?
Coronado Bay is a private condo resort is a good hour plus from Tocumen International Airport. Taxis in most parts of Panama do not have meters. You will have to negotiate the rate with the driver when you get there. If you are only going to be there for a week or less renting a car might be an alternative because a taxi that far out will be expensive.

It was suggested to us by the woman we are renting condo in Coronado from that we use a driver to drive us from airport out of PC (and back to airport when leaving) for100 (includes tip). Once at our Coronado complex, we will rent car from there for the week. We are traveling to PC in late October (looking to retire there). I read on a 2005 blog that it cost the writer at that time100 for a taxi to drive him to Coronado but negotiate first!
