Hi, I will be coming to Palmyra in 2 weeks and was wondering if it is possible to do a day trip from Damascus to Palmyra? If not, is there a good hotel to stay at? Are Tuesdays still a public holiday there? Thanks
Doing it as a day trip from Damascus would be too rushed. You should stay there at least one night. The ruins of Palmyra are best seen at sunrise. There are a few reasonable hotels there including the Orient and Ishtar. Ideally you should have at least one and a half days there to see everything. hi best thing is stay one night in Palmyra cause it,s little far from Damascus . stay in Orient hotel . it have good view on ruins . note Palmyra near from Homs city best wishes

it is better to stay one night to see palmyra in the evening visit www.bestpalmyrahotels.com you may find reasonable accommodation for one night
