Hi, my boyfriend and I are planning to travel in Palestine this April and have heard from some places where we have tried to book a room that unmarried couples are not permitted to share a room and that marriage docs are required as proof of marriage. We seem to have found a couple of places to stay that seem fine with it but are now concerned they will split us into separate rooms on arrival. Is this an issue anyone else has come across or knows anything about? (Is not mentioned in the Palestine Bradt guide. . .) Many thanks, Hetty
Probably you both are not going for beaching there as you should have at least a contact, ask him.

There are loads of Westerners working and living in Palestine, people there could not care less whether you're married or not, unless your boyfriend is Palestinian.
