-How safe is Palawan for tourist now in 2011? Is there any Terrorist action going on there? - Are there any areas unsafe to avoid? Which parts of Palawan have night clubs and other activities? Is there much nite life there? Are there any reefs along shore line of beach for snorkeling? Which part of Palawan has the clearest waters? How bad are the Lamok in December? Are there many restaurants along beach area? Is there much American food available? Is beach open or blocked off by private resort beaches as in Lapu lapu city? Any good travel agencies based in PI that you reccomend
I think Palawan is pretty safe for tourists... we dont know if there are terrorists roaming around though, but in general, it is a safe place to visit. There are tours arranged, visiting the tourist spots in palawan such as the underground river and honda bay... beaches are good there, unspoilt and good for snorkeling as well. There could be mosquitoes, to be sure, just bring mosquito repellant lotion...with regards to night life, there are good restaurants such as Kalui and Kinabuch, good food are served and you can have some beer if you like... there are also bars in Puerto Princesa City but not quite familiar with them...
