    • ATV and Rafting Phang Nga

      Phuket Aug 13, 2015 at 11:23 PM

Hello, I am planning a trip to phuket and wish to book an ATV and rafting tour, specifically the one in the link below at Phang Nga. It seems very expensive, and I was wondering if anyone in Phuket currently (or lately) knows how much I can book this tour in phuket instead of online.
Its 5Km white water rafting and 3hrs ATV in Phang Nga (inc transfers).

      Thank you,
      Bianca.

Where can we find a Koh Samui local who is a good cook? She/He can accompany us to the market, help buy the food, go back to the villa and show us how to cook it During the day not the evening. We want this for at least 2 times and probably 3 times per week with 2 hours, and 4 hours when going to the market.

But are falling short of entertainment acts for their recreation. Kindly suggest some good local bands in Phuket whom we could contact and include in our itinerary.

P.S - We are looking at creating an experience for our clients. Would like to have all the options for the same.

      Itinerary Help Please.

      Thailand Aug 26, 2015 at 3:43 AM

I need a bit of help choosing a destination to fit into my current itinerary. I have 17nights from October 6th-23rd

I have created a kind of loop North to Chiang Mai and Back to Bangkok.Im struggling to find somewhere in between (Bangkok-Chiang Mai) at the start or somewhere in between (Mae sot-Bangkok) at the end of my route.

      Bangkok

      Chiang Mai (3nights)
      Pai (3nights)
      Mae Hong Son (2nights)
      Mae Saraing(2nights)
      Mae sot-Mywaddy (3nights)

      Bangkok

I had thought I may have been able to fit in Khanchanaburi that area sounded beautiful but I think it would take too much time having to travel via Bangkok. Again I am not really interested in History In terms of Sukhothai or Ayutthaya. I guess im looking for somewhere with a rural feel to it. Nice scenery, somewhere you would like to go for a cycle and where the people are nice.

I know I have been posting a lot And I really appreciate all of your comments. I May as well try and get a route sorted that I am happy with. If I had one place to add in where would you recommend.

      River trip, river life

      Bangkok Jul 30, 2015 at 11:42 PM

Wondering if anyone has experienced a river trip, probably from Bangkok to maybe north to Ayutthaya. I am not talking about the river cruises, which go to the same place. I am talking long tail, 2-3-4 day event. stop and stay along the way and back again. Hot all the places and markets, side trips etc...
Anyone ever done anything like this??? One of the big reasons I have not done this yet is all I can find are the expensive, touristy river cruises. That does not appeal to us at all. Been going to Thailand for over 35 years and it's about time I explored the river and it's many tributaries, like the old Thailand used to be.

      Northern Thailand

      Thailand Jul 30, 2015 at 12:25 PM

      Hey Guys,
After a lot more reading and research my plans have totally changed. I think I have covered all parts of Thailand in my head now. So Northern Thailand is where I want to explore in my little time in Thailand from October 5th to 23rd.

I am thinking of one night in Bangkok next night train to Chiang Mai. I don’t want to fly. I have picked out a couple more destinations Chiang Dao ,Chiang Rai, Fang + Tha Ton or Mae Salong then Chian Khong to cross the border and do some Zip lining then work my way back stopping once maybe on the way back somewhere like Nan. I have read up on these places. I hope the weather won’t be too bad.

I like the outdoors. It would be great to see the Mekong. In general, I would be happy to see some rural type areas with nice scenery lakes, rice paddies etc. Maybe meet some Village People the areas I have picked sounded like some of the areas where I might find some of them. What do ye think? Is it a workable itinerary? Only a Couple of nights in each place! Does it sound manageable?

Does anyone know a reliable site to book a night train to Chiang Mai from Bangkok On?

We won't be arriving in Bangkok until 4:30pm but need to get to the park that evening to stay in our hotel. Does anyone know when the latest bus leaves Bangkok to Pak Chong? I know they have buses quite often, I just wanted to make sure we could make it to the bus terminal in time.

Does anyone know if there are any buses from Pak Chong (Isaan region) to Nakhon Pathom?
We are going on to Phetchaburi and we don't particularly want to get the train back into Bangkok and back out.
The distances from Pak Chong are similar but the train from Bangkok to Phetchaburi stops at Nakhon Pathom after about 1hr 40min
      Many thanks for any help
