A few suggestions: 1. instead of doing paoay-batac, why not reverse it? go to batac first then paoay. from paoay church, you can hire a trike to paoay lake and malacanang of the north. you can also check among the locals if there is a jeepney (or if your trike can take you) from malacanang back to laoag via fort ilocandia. we did it during our trip but we had our own vehicle. 2. verify travel time between laoag and pagudpud. as i recall, it's more than 1.5 hours; more like 2.5 hours on a private vehicle. same with pagudpud to vigan, it's like 3-4 hours with transfer in laoag.

Thanks Ms. Asianbelle for the suggestion! Fort ilocandia will be one of our options if we still have time. Hope we can travel all the beautiful places in laoag for just a daY. Thanks!

I agree with Aida's suggestion. I just want to add, Malacanang of the North is closed on Mondays, as far as I know so double check before you go there.

Yup, you're right Cyndy. Malacanang is closed on Monday. And if I remember right, their museum hours are: 9am-12nn and 1-4pm.
