I have a few restaurants on my Padova pages, you might take a look.. they would be okay if you have a car to travel around as they are mostly out of town. If you want to stay in the center i recently tried the Osteria dei Fabbri http://www.osteriadeifabbri.it/, it is right in the center in a side street of Piazza della frutta. It is a nice place, good food and cozy little room. It is close on sunday. They have traditional local food.
Again if you have a car you might want to go to the local hills, Colli Euganei, there are several "Agriturismo" there offering home made pasta and grilled chicken and meat. You can also taste the wild pig (cinghiale) meat that is tasty.
