For a nice 3-star hotel, see http://www.hoteligea.it/ By car, Milan-Padova should take between 2 and 3 hours, according to traffic density. Padova-Venice should take 30-40 minutes, but it is better to go by train from Padova to Venice. A car is Venice is useless and only costs you parking fees.

Milan-Padova should take between 2 and 3 hours. Padova-Venezia should take some 30-40 minutes, but the train would be a better way to go from Padova to Venezia: a lot cheaper, no parking fees, better place of arrival in regards to the city center.

Hi, in regards to distance from Padova to Venice, it 'may' take twenty minutes at most. We live in Padova, and often go to Venice by train (twenty minutes) and by bus, which makes the circuit first (45 minutes). I can't help you with hotels because I have no need for them. If you stay in Padova, and travel to Venice, suggest you park the car here, and go by train. Very easy commute, and no hassle with parking etc. Enjoy your visit, Pa

Milan to Padua than 3 hours (if without traffic jams on A4 higway.... avoid so rush hour from 5 pm going out of the big town. Check is this pilgrimages-related hotel suits you: casadelpellegrino.it/eng/hom... Venice is quite near... less than 40 minutes by car from Padua, but the car is a problem in Venice.. Hard to find a place, and at least 18 Euros... Better leave it in Padua, and take the train from Padua. Cheaper and faster. Ciao Francesco

Hi, sorry I can't help you with personal suggestions about hotels here in Padova. We live here, so have never had a need. As far as driving time to Venice from Padova, it would be less than 30 minutes, as the train takes about 25 minutes. If you're staying in Padova, suggest you go by train (cheap), as that will eliminate parking problems etc. So easy to hop on the train in Venice after a day of sightseeing, and let someone else drive. Of course depends where your hotel in Padova is in relationship to the train station. VT has a list of hotels in Padova, suggest you click on to those to see if anything is of interest. Pa

Sadly it depends on the condition of the traffic on the highways. Often on weekends and in summer, the A4 coming in and going out of Milan and the area near Venice can be hideous, but generally it should take about 2.5 hours by car from Milan to Padova depending on how fast you drive. Padova to Venice should be less than an hour I would think.
