I am an Irish student, and nine of us were thinking of staying in the Oxnard/Ventura area for the summer. Was just wondering is this spot in anyway lively e.g good nightlife, things to do during the day?? Thanks!!...
Good nightlife and Oxnard, that's an oxymoron. Ventura County is very family oriented. A group of 9 students will be bored. Try San Diego or Santa Barbara.

I was in Ventura last summer and it's great craic. A load of jobs even for lads that love the cheese and lads who are mad to get their ear pierced. Wheel fun rentals pay 20 dollars and hour and the frat houses are dirt cheap, come with a summers supply of 4 loko and have the amount of birds. Also the strip club, fireworks testing center and pornstar industry employ regularly!
