I usually go to Grand Tetons/Yellowstone once a year and have been doing so for about 25 years.
How many days do you suggest in RMNP? 2 full days or 3?

Hi, just wondered if anyone had any advice please? Visiting the Rocky Mountain National Park in August and just wondered where the best place to stay would be? Boulder, Longmont, Estes Park or Loveland? We will be heading north after RMNP to Mount Rushmore, therefore wondering whether Loveland would be best as it would shorten our travel time north, whilst still being a gateway to RMNP city. Plus Boulder seems to be booked up :( Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
We will be in Ouray on Sept 3 and 4. If the weather cooperates, we would like to go on an easy hike on the 3rd and a moderate one on the 4th. I am trying to find a local experienced hiker, who knows the trails who would be interested to be our guide for at least the more difficult hike. Any help would be appreciated. Lianna
HOWDY! We are looking for a cabin/home to rent near the Ouray/Montrose area that is on a lake or river… we want to be able to fish out the back or front door… we have been searching with NO LUCK! So many great places to fish but no lodging on the water so we can stay where we fish… we don’t want to have to drive more than 40 minute or so from Ouray… HELP!!! any ideas???
