Hi all travellers, Me and my family are looking for that really nice village in Brac island. You know .. with the nice beach, some nice resturants, cafes and some nice old stone houses. We have two kids 3 and 6 years old, we need to keep them happy so the "disco hot spot", we can forget... Please give us a hint on where to find that genuine, small village, with just enough people to create a nice atmosphere but not to touristy.... Thanks for your help!!
I just tooled around Brac on a scooter (while staying in Bol, which I agree you should avoid), so I cannot make a scecific recommendation, but I can tell you that this is a really good website: http://www.otok-brac.info/eng/INDEX.HTM (it is the Brac island website, not a rental propery site). It has an interactive map that describes each coastal village. I think anywhere other than Bol or Supetar should work, but reading the descriptions will help you find the most child-friendly beaches and what place has the most historical sites for you. Hope that helps!
