Hotel near Universal

by rlg2706 Online Now May 19, 2012 at 11:44 AM

I have been looking for a hotel near to the Universal theme parks for a 4 night stay and wondered if anybody had any recommendations. The room needs to be big enough for 2 adults and 3 children aged 15,12 and 10. I need shuttle transport to Universal. I would like somewhere that offers a buffet breakfast although this is not essential. I would say that my budget is mid range but would prefer to keep the cost down.

You can try the Days Inn Universal Studios - my choice of hotel. Great prices plus it has a Denny's and a Cracker Barrel. Dennys on premises. You can get adjoining rooms with a door in between to keep open. Each room has 2 queen beds. daysinn.com/hotels/florida/o...

well this is a bit outdated, I say, but when in the area and needed to stay over I did at Hampton Inn, here is their webpage hamptoninn.hilton.com/en/hp/... you can update info on destination in VT above right for Orlando or Tripadvisor site, but it was always a pleasant place to be. Plenty to eat in and around, see dining on hotel tab. Hope it help

My family stayed at the Mystic Dunes Resort. It was only minutes from WDW and we had over 2200 sq ft! Our bill for 5 days was only900, which includes 11% tax. We got the 3 bedroom suite, which is enough room for 12 people. You could easily get the 2 bedroom suite and cut costs. They have a free shuttle running every day. They have 4 heated pools with a 2 story slide at one. We loved it! Prof Wendy Davis
