Hi , Me and my husband are traveling from Vrpolje, which is close to Split to Opatija Milenji Agave hotel to be exact. Does anyone know how long the drive will be with car from Vrpolje (Split) to Opatija?
About three hours if you use the new Super Highway, depending on how fast you drive.

If you take the coast road, I am guessing 5 -6 hours. I drove the coast road from Split to Trogir, it's a lot slower than the superhighway (toll road). Also, there is a stretch of the toll between Rijeka and around Senj that was not finished as of last year where you either have to take a big half circle (about 120KM) on the toll road or switch over to the coast road.
