After renting a car, we are planning on driving from Seattle to Pt Angeles in August via Bainbridge. We currently have reservations for 1 night at Crescent Lake Lodge and plan to drive to that end of the park first. The second night we have reservations in Port Angeles and plan to visit Hurricane Ridge. We are going to Victoria, via Victoria Express Ferry the next day, and will spend one night there and come back the next day, then drive back to Seattle. What can we see in this amount of time around Crescent Lake, and then back to Hurricane Ridge area? Also, how long is the drive from Seattle to Port Angeles? Thanks in advance.
Hello Rushed Travelers: Or should I say pressed for time or trying to squeeze 3-4days of sightseeing into 2 days of crammed sightseeing. I'm sorry, but you are trying to do too much in too little time. If I may offer a little help in your planned trip to Olympic Nat'l Park and Victoria. #1. Why not stay for 2 nights at Port Angelas instaed of unpacking for i night repack for the second night. From Pt. Angelas you can see almost the same sights as before but w/o repacking between nights. Cresent Lake and Hurricane Ridge are well w/in range from your hotel in Pt. Angelas. Next, for Victoria your choice for getting there is great, no cars to wait for. However, you are cheating yourself by hoping to see the prime sights, make the return trip and then drive back to Seattle is a little wishful thinking. Give some respect to Victoria by spending at least 1 night there. This way you can "squeeze" all the sights at the Inner Harbor, have dinner at either The Blue Crab Rest. or Milestones. Then on the next day go see Buchart Gardens via Grayline Tour Bus for a 3-4 hr. self-guided tour of the most beautiful gardens you will ever see. Lastay, return to downtown Victoria via bus in time for your return trip back to Pt. Angelas and on to Seattle. Pick up a couple books at your book store such as Foders or Frommers on Washington and/or British Columbia for more information. Good luck and have a good time. i know you will, I've been to this part of the country 8 times in the last 8 years and I live in Georgia

Thanks Smolakid. I appreciate your reply as this board doesn't seem to be too active. If you notice in my message, we are staying one night in Victoria. The reason we chose to stay one night in Lake Crescent is so we could see everything in that area and maybe beyond (Hoh Rain Forest). I'm not sure how much we will be able to see, but we will see what we can. Also, Lake Crescent Lodge has been given high praise by other travelers. Thanks again for your input.
