Next month we will be for 12 days in Michigen, we would spend 4 days visiting family friend in Cliveland. We will be driving and altho the drive is about 3 hrs is very boring, specially the turnpike. So we were thinking of stopping somewhere between both Cities for a lunch and look see.. can you suggest somewhere interesting not faraway from the motorway? We are taking interstate 75 and packing up the Turnpike at Toledo all the way to Cliveland. any suggestions are very welcome. Many thanks V

what is there to do there in july?
Hello, My husband and I are planing to go to Greece in July and stay in Athens for two nights and in the islands for 4 nights, one our friends warned us that it might not be a good idea since there are regular demonstrations and taxi or public service staff shut down services quite often so things might not be pleasant. We have the option to change our tickets and skip the Athens and go directly to the islands. Do you have any recent information or advice on both Athens and Greek Island? Many thanks!
Anyone know some decent small towns in Ohio - few restaurants/bars/accommodation = bit off the neaten track but nice or a bit odd. Thanks, Pb Dancing
Going to a Wedding in March and would like to know what kind of clothes and shoes to take. What is the normal weather for march? Thanks.
Okay... In April I will be going to Columbus for Equine Affaire. It's at the Expo Center/ Fairgrounds. This is the first year going by myself & I don't drive... I was trying to get a hotel close to the fairgrounds. I booked at the Holiday Inn Express on East Hudson Street. When I first looked up the directions to walk from the hotel to the Expo Center, it was no prob.. I look it up and now it says that there could be sidewalks missing, etc... Does anyone know this area? Is it going to be a problem? I wanted to stay at the Comfort Inn right there, but the price... May still change mind, but... If anyone knows about the area and if walking is going to be fine, it would be greatly appreciated. Lynn

Hi I am going to be working in Cleveland during November. I am going to be staying in North Royalton, is there a bus that I can take to/from downtown? Thanks!
I have the largest of tractor-trailer combos, the 53' which I use to haul produce from California to NY, and dry goods from Midwest back to CA. I've driven through downtown Cleveland's 90 degree bank turn freeway many times. But, I would like to park the truck in a vacant spot, safely far enough from bad neighborhoods not to get vandalized, and then walk the dog into downtown town and along the waterfront. If the dog weren't with me much of the time, I'd park at the Pilot Truck Stop and the junction of I-80 and I-77, and then take the 45 minute bus ride downtown, but maybe there's an area cleared of some old factory where I can park the truck. Any locals know where I should go...Bear in mind, my truck isn't an RV, it's a lot bigger...
Does anyone know if it safe to park at the Amtrack Train Station for a week or so? My mother wants to catch a 11:00 p.m. train. Should I be concerned? Thanks for the help.
Hello! I'm going to a show at this venue in a couple weeks - they boast about their beer list, but my friend and I aren't really beer girls. Do they have any other great drinks, and how is the bar situation while bands perform? Just curious.
We are coaster lovers and are planning a 6 days vacation in Sandusky and would like to know which is the best month for visit. Beside Cedar Points, what are the other must visit places in Sandusky and its surroundings. Any suggestion on 3 or 4* hotel or apartment where public transportation is convenient, as we do not drive. Thank you

We had one back home in Phoenix where you could pay for your kid to hang out in a little play land while you watched. Is there anything like that in this area? Thanks!
could anyone tell me if they still have the craft show at ghost town and when do they have it?
Could anyone please compare the lancaster Pa to the Dover/Berlin area amish areas. Would like to take a group of seniors on a motorcoach tour to one or the other. Which would be best for culture/way of life, country tour and of course eating. The Ohio area would be closer for us but don't know how it compares to the Lancaster pa or the Shipshewana In areas. Thanks for any help.
Hi all, I'm thinking of putting together a quick few day road trip to Mansfield, OH to take the tours of the Reformatory where The Shawshank Redemption was filmed and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of interesting/off the beaten path stops along the way from Chicago to Mansfield? Know of a nice restaurant near the interstate at SR72?
We will be spending only one night in Sandusky. Please recommend a waterfront hotel for a couple with no children. We need restaurant and would like to be able to take an evening boat cruise on Sunday, July 11. Please advise. Thank you, Nancy tallpiangorl@bellsouth.net
My wife and I are planning a trip to Cleveland in November. We were just curious what kind of things there are to do along the way, i.e. interesting landmarks, restaurants, etc.
How far is it from the amtrak station to a red line stop?
I am meeting a friend in Cincinnati and need to plan a few activites but without a car. Objective is to have some place to chat, while doing a little sight seeing. Would also enjoy attending mass at the St. Peter in Chains Cathedral ... so - please keep in mind distance- taxi ok, public transp. ok too. - what is a good place to stay (I saw the Marriott, is this in an OK neighborhood?) - or a similar place - What is a good breakfast/brunch place? I think a big lunch would be good. - Looked at Eden park for a stroll - are there nice quiet places but not too secluded places to sit there? - What about Carew Tower? - How far is the ball park from there - and is it open daily for tours? - How far is the Union Terminal from there - I just want to see the building. - What would be a nice but inexpensive place for dinner? American food, steak OK - nice, not stuffy, and most of all, fairly quiet - need to be able to have a good conversation. - What would you recommend after dinner? ok, too many questions. Don't want to make it too busy, mainly have a little activity, lots of opportunity to sit down and chat with as little heat and as much peace and quiet as possible, and a nice inexpensive meal at the end.
Hello my birthday is next month and we're planning to go to an indoor waterpark resort. I'll be turning 29. My mom is 48, my grandma is 67, and my best friend is 25. We went to Kalahari in December and really enjoyed it. I don't really enjoy waterslides. I love roller coasters but my experience on slides has been less than pleasant (rafts tipping over, including flipping completely upside down, water getting up my nose/face/etc.) It's not that I find them too scary, just rather unpleasant. I did force myself to go on several of them, for the sake of my best friend who loves them, but I always feel like I'm forcing myself to do so. I do however love lazy rivers, wave pools, log rides, swimming, and hot tubs. I think I read that kalahari has the longest lazy river. If there were any resorts in the area that featured more pools/hottub/spa like ammenities and less slides I'd be interested in that. I also went to Splash Lagoon in Erie last summer. It was ok. Only had a day pass there. It was really hot outside and inside it was too hot and the water temperature felt way too hot too. That was my main complaint. I did love the fact that splash lagoon had an adult only hot tub. I thought that was really nice. But the overall atmosphere and service and attractions at kalahari seemed much more exciting. I really did not like the food at Kalahari. We had the 40 dollar great karoo gift card thing. It was disgusting I thought. Must be an acquired taste cuz it gets good reviews. Just I didn't like the sauces and seasonings that accompanied most meals. By contrast, although I've never visited, I do happen to know that Castaway Bay has a TGIFriday's on location, which cassual family dining would appeal to me more than some fancy acquired taste locale. I did really like the petting zoo and feeding the animals at Kalahari. The indoor surfing was also fun. I'm also a huge gamer and loved the arcade. Minigolf was fun also. We'll be staying for 3 or 4 nights next month so I want somewhere with a nice atmosphere in the lobby/suites. I also enjoyed the room decor of kalahari... but I am interested in hearing about other waterparks or resorts which feature some of the things I've highlighted here. Thoughts/suggestions? I'm currently located in Twinsburg Ohio. My family/best friend are from PA (about halfway between pittsburgh and erie.) Any suggestion should be within 4-5 hours drive from either location. Thank you for your time and consideration. I can't decide. So far leaning towards returning to Kalahari. But I also know that Cedar Point will be open by my birthday, and Castaway Bay's prices seem cheap considering it comes with free tickets to Cedar Point as well as use of the indoor/onsite waterpark. But the waterpark itself is very small 35,000 square feet, where as kalahari is 125,000 square feet. I also dunno what the weather will be like by mid may. Might be a little cold still especially with it being right off of lake erie. I do love Cedar point though. Only been there once, but it was amazing. Gah can't make up my mind lol. Summary (looking for:): Relaxation (heavy focus on spas, saunas, wave pools, large swimming pools, hot tubs, lazy rivers, raging rapid type rides (probably would have to be inside cedar point to find such a ride but its my favorite ride XD) Atmosphere/Decor Good Food (preferably chain/well known restaurants) Adult Only attractions are a really big plus Ones with animals are a plus Arcade/dry attractions are another huge plus Can anyone make some reccomendations?
I am going to be traveling out of the Cleveland, OH airport over the holidays, has anyone had any experience with those 3rd party parking services there? Thanks! :)
Hi, I've just moved to the area and I need an internet café where I can scan a document. (I have a computer and internet access, but printer/scanner). All the ones I've found on the internet seem to be out of business. Does anyone know of one? I am in Beachwood, but am willing to drive to get to one. I'm having no luck!
