I have one day to go from Kingston to a meeing in St. Ann Bay west of Ocho Rios and get back to Kingston. I know the options are to (1) Rent a car and drive (2) take a JUTA (expendive), and (3) take the Knutsford bus and cab on either end. How good are the roads in between and how safe? Doable? It saves a bunch of $$ over the JUTA.
Lucky you! It has been such a long time since I was in Ocho Rios and it was too dangerous to go to Kingston at the time because of political problems but we did get close and the roads were fine but as I recall; full of curves, so, far better to do the driving yourself, you will feel better in control.
Whilst you are there you may want to visit Dunn Falls, exhilarating place, it was featured in a James Bond film, an old one so I can't remember the title.
