      Car rental return - Munich

      Munich 2 hours ago

I will be renting the car at airport to travel to Neuschwanstein castle and then to Salsburg. On return, I want to spend some time in Munich city. Earlier, I thought of the option to return back the rental car at airport and then taking train to the city. Looking at the google map suggestion, returning at train station may save me driving time as well as time to use public transport. I want to know if driving in Munich city is easy and then I will not spend too much time stuck in traffic OR is it the best option to return to airport and take a train to the city.

Schloss Neuschwanstein Aug 9, 2015 at 9:19 AM

I plan to come by train from munich to see Neausweisten castle from inside and the photo op and I will make reservations , after which i want to see alpsee, but not spend too much time there and go to the luge.
i dont want to walk full perimeter, which route do you recommend walking up till.
How far of a walk or hike is the spot from which we can see the lake fe above in terms of time it will take.
If the bridge from which pictures of the castle are taken is there an alternative spot?

We are staying at the Wurzburgwr Hof Hotel. We need restaurant advice on places that are walking distance of the hotel. Preferably in The 10 to 20 Euro range, have English menus, looking for basic food like sausages, snitzel, and also good breakfasts. We do not drink wine but I like beer and my wife drinks coke. Simple places will work.

      Berlin in September

      Berlin Sep 3, 2015 at 5:19 AM

      Hello!
I'm travelling with two of my friends to Berlin in two weeks and I have a question for Berliners: What would you like to see, if you would travel there for a week?
I also have a question for people who have already been to Berlin: What would you like to experience again?
We're students and we'd like to explore Berlin in a more not-so-tourist-kind-of-waybut in more alternative way (if I'm making any sense :))
Thank you for you answers in advance, any suggestion will be appreciated!

      Berlin Aug 19, 2015 at 6:56 PM

      Hi,

On the 2nd week of this December I would like to visit a city in Germany as I love Christmas Markets. I was thinking of Berlin.

Do you think that this is a good idea?is there enough things to do in Berlin. I wouldn't like to go inside museums.

What about the weather? Will I be able to go around?

Are there any nearby places that I can visit?

I thank you so much beforehand.

      Berlin Aug 16, 2015 at 10:13 AM

      Hi,

Few questions about travelling in Berlin.
Seems a good option to buy one of the Berlin Welcome cards as travel passes included. So travelling
in 6th October and leaving 11th, Is it possible to buy a day pass at the Schoenfield airport to cover first day and the 5 day pass covers the rest?
U-Bahn,S-Bahn I understand but trams maybe not so well. Is there link/URL showing where the lines run, times & stops (are the stops automatic or only if people getting on/off)? Or are there no specific times for trams?

      many thanks
