hi folks, we will be visiting cabo in june for 4 nights... we are a party of 4 adults and 2 toddlers, 1.5 and 2.5 yr olds... we're actually staying in a resort in San Jose Del Cabo... any suggestions on kid friendly activities? how about kid friendly restaurants? would we need to rent a car? how much per day for renting a car? trying to figure out whether it would be better to rent a car than taking a cab or what not... we do have 2 toddlers traveling with us... thanks in advance...

My boyfriend and I are looking to book an all-inclusive in July. We are looking at the Casita rooms at Secrets as they have a private plunge pool and sun deck. Previously at other resorts, we have to wake up at 7am (or earlier) just to leave towels on a pool chair and we don’t want to have to wake up so early on this trip. My question is, is this really necessary for this time of year? How busy are the all-inclusive? Should we spend the extra money to get a plunge pool and sun deck? or can we sleep in and still get a chair by the pool?

I will be staying in Puerto Morellos for 8 days and on one of those days I'd like to visit Chichenitza, Vallodolid and a cenote.
Most tours seem to go to Ik Kil but I have read that the best cenote is Dzitnup. Which do you think are the best cenotes and and do you know of any tours which include Dzitnup, Chichenitza and Valloladid?
Or is it possible/easy to visit them in one day with public transport/taxi? How much does this cost?

We really would like to go to Oaxaca in July 2012. Has anyone been recently there.....Any safety issues, did you hear of any kidnappings asking for ransom, etc of Americans? People are scaring us about these things, is it a really concern, we don't want to be worried about junk like this traveling, also where is a good place to check for safety issues in certain cities that is more official any sites you can recommend. I'm wondering if it's a good idea to bring my iPad with us to Oaxaca City. Is there anyone with experience in bringing a laptop or iPad? Is it safe to leave it in a reputable hotel? We're staying at the Mariposa, which doesn't have a room safe, only a general area for guests that isn't locked.
Can you travel from Oaxaca to Hualtulco by air direct without having to go through Mexico City. If there are small airlines that make the trip, can you give me a website? What is the estimated cost for a one way trip? Thanks, Kespino
Would like to hear any suggestions, traveling with my girlfriend and lookinng for a 1 bedroom bungalow or small apartment, with cooking facilities and bathroom, within a 5-10 minute walk to the beach. We want to rent for approx 2 months, tried the internet but the prices quoted were quite frankly daylight robbery. I was under the impression500 per month would be more than enough for a nice place but starting to realise things might be more expensive than I imagined. any and all suggestions thanking you !!!
Hi, everyone! We're going to Huatulco, Oaxaca nest month. Does anyone know of an excursion company that can take us by plane across the mountains from Huatulco to Ciudad de Oaxaca and Monte Alban? About 15 years ago, there was compay that took me to a church, a museum, the city for a few hours and the great Monte Alban. Do the the hotels still have these excursions? Driving won't be an option for us, and the bus ride takes about 7 hours. Has anyone an idea or name? THank you SO much!! Bonnie
I have information on a backpackers bus service that operates from Mexico City to Oaxaca. Unfortunately all efforts to confirm this service has come to nothing. Does anyone have the details of who to contact for this service?
