Info on Arroyo Viejo Park

I plan to attend a concert on 9/10 @ Arroyo Viejo Park. Is it relatively safe in that area of town? I'm coming in from out of town & will travel via public transpo from the airport. Any suggestions on what bus route from the Coliseum Station is best to get me closest to the park? Thanks for any info.

Arroyo Viejo is in East Oakland, one of the highest crime areas in the country. East Oakland, sadly, is known for its drug dealing and violent crime. Just two months ago, snipers fired on police officers in at the Park. Karen
