Best Place To Stay

Visiting family in Wahiawa in June. I have read so many conflicting reviews on hotels and can't decide where to stay. I'm looking for a nice hotel on the beach with a balcony. I don't want to stay in the middle of the Waikiki action but nothing too secluded. Other preferences- kitchen or fridge/microwave, spa and restaurants on site. Any suggestions?
