    • Best option for public transportation

      Copenhagen Sep 18, 2015 at 1:39 AM

I am staying in Copenhagen for 5 days. I have to travel every day from zone 1 to zone 4 and back. What would be my best option regarding the tickets? I do not know how much time I will have for sightseeing. Should I buy single trip tickets, a Flexcard, or Rejsekort Anonymt? (or anything else that I am not aware of)

    • First time traveling solo this November

      Denmark Oct 6, 2015 at 8:45 PM

Hello all, I'm a female traveler venturing off to Copenhagen this November for my first solo trip. I've researched what the weather was like and it tends to be cooler and "wetter" so they say. I will be going in the middle of November and plan on just bringing one piece of luggage with me if possible (plus a personal carry on) since I don't want to be lugging my suitcase all over the place.

I was wondering what are the quintessential items i should bring for a five day trip: clothing wise, footwear (Was going to bring sneakers and maybe a pair of boots?), toiletries (should i worry about bringing certain things like shampoo etc. if staying in a hostel), adapters, umbrella?
Any help in what to bring would be greatly appreciated. I want whatever clothes I bring to be able to accommodate any unforeseen weather changes.

I've also researched what sights and attractions I want to see. But does anyone have any must-have definite things to see or do? I was also wondering if the kayak republic operates around November since I couldn't find any information on that or would be doing a boat tour at the Nyhavn sufficient?

I also like to travel a little off the beaten path. Is it worth making a day trip over to Malmo? Is there enough to see and do for just one day?

Also any recommendations on hostels would be great. I was debating between the generator hostel, danhostel, or copenhagen downtown hostel.

I'm in my mid twenties and ready for some adventure.
      Thank you for any help!

    • Worth it to get Denmark Eurail pass?

      Denmark Oct 2, 2015 at 2:30 PM

Hello, I'll be in Denmark, arriving at Billund airport. I plan to take trains and buses from Billund and eventually reach Copenhagen. I don't have a set time frame yet as I plan to fly from Copenhagen to Amsterdam and have yet to book my ticket.

I'm wondering if it's worth it to purchase the Eurail pass (120$ for 4 days)? I haven't quite decided what and how many stops I will make yet (for now I'm thinking Aarhus definitely, probably staying roughly along the line that route E20 goes? unless any one has suggestions on where to go, I am very open as well ~ just haven't had time outside of school and work to research as of yet), but I'll probably need to pay out of pocket for shorter distances and use the pass for longer distances. ????????

I was originally thinking to stay in Denmark for a total of 7 days, but is that enough? Too much?
I'll have just graduated university so time is not really an issue for me as of yet :) Thank you!
