I have never visited the Northern Areas of Pakistan. But i wana to visit these areas in August 2013. Would any one guide me about the weather of kaghan and Naran in the mentoined month. Which hotel is suitable for Budjet Travellers.. plz also guide me abut necessary things to take with me as M going for the first time.Would really appreciate if you people could be kind enough to guide me.

What will be the expected weather in Azad Kashmir, Naran and in Swat in the last days of August to first week of september. And how much greenery covered these areas in the mentioned dates.

my friend and his family is planing a trip to naran in august (next day of EID).what is the weathers condition in august.is it better plan.they want to go saif ul maluk,lalazar,lulusar and shogran.

Hi Guys I am planning a trip to Naran, Kaghan etc from Lahore in mid augest. We are of 5 friends. I have no idea how to get from Islamabad onwards. I was hoping the experts here help me plan this trip and recommend places to visit and stay. We plan to do 5 - 6 days trip. I would appreciate your help choosing the best sight seeing that we can do in these days. I have seen pictures of Naran, Kaghan, Shogran, Saif Ul Malook etc but I have no idea how geographically dispersed these are from each other and even if it makes sense to do all these in one trip. Your help figuring this out would be highly appreciated. Note that we have never done this before and probably never will after this trip. So we want to hit the maximum spots possible. Hi fellow travelers, I am planning to visit Naran from 13th June - 17th June with my family, ie wife and 2 kids (12 & 8 yr olds) and maybe with my younger bro. My queries are as follows:
1: Can Civic be taken to Naran without ruining the car because of the roads?
2: What are the usual avg. good rates for top hotels in Naran in June, with 3 bed accommodation?
3: Which are the top 4 hotels in Naran in terms of cleanliness, clean beds and good food?
4: Should I book in advance or go there and get the room?
5: what are the rates for jeep inclusive of diesel to Saif ul maluk and other places?
6: How long would it take from a) Abbotabad to Balakot
b) Balakot to Naran
Would really appreciate if you people could be kind enough to guide me as I am going there for the first time and would have family with me so I would want to avoid any bad hotels or unruly crowds etc.

Hope everyone is in good health and enjoying life Me and some of my office collegues are planning a tour for Dudipatsar and lalzar lake. I needed some guidence regarding the expense? and the way(directions)? of travel. I mean how can we reach these two points we are taking a toyota hiace with us can it go there? or we will have to book a jeep for that? or any hiking(by foot) is needed? We have been to Saif-ul-muluk, how far from there are these two places in kilometers? Please answer before 15-june as we are planning to leave on 20-june-2013. We will be leaving from Islamabad. I m planning a trip to Naran between 20 to 25th Nov and would like to know if the roads are open to travel. Secondly, can anyone suggest who to contact to book everything with one source like hotel accommodation + transport. We are a family of 2 to 3 adults & 5 months infant. Salam, Friends I am planning a family tour of Kaghan Valley in end of August with my wife and two kids (son 7 years & daughter 4 years old). My tentative plan is to first reach at Abbotabad from Karachi via Daewoo it will take about 24 hours. One day stay in Abbotabad and then travel to Shogran get a hotel travel to sri paya night stay at Shogran. Early morning depart to Naran. Stay at hotel first day visit to Saif ul Maluk returned to Naran night stay in hotel early morning travel to Lalazar. Return back to Naran night stay and then early morning get a bus for Islamabad (preferably PTDC Bus). Since it is my 1st trip to Kaghan. I want to get your expert advice that 1) Is the planned period is suitable to travel with family? 2) How can I make the trip econonmical? 3) What are the average rates of hotels in Naran & Shogran? 4) Can I book the hotel up on arrival at destinations? 5) How much the Jeeps may charges to take me the destinations from Shogran and Naran? 6) Is it better to take a rent a car from Shogran to cover the worthseeing locations both at Shogran and Naran?

salaam, as i have planned to discover naran with my wife my 3 year kid my bro n my 2 younger sis, i want ur experienced openion about my plan, hope u will guid me, 1 november 2012,at 4pm we will leave karachi through train we will arrive lahore on 2nd november hopefully at 10 am, then without any stay will go to islamabad through motor way will reach at nigh then stay in hotel 3rd november visit islamabad 4th november departure to naran directly and hopefully will arrive naran at evening then stay 5th november visit saifulmaluk 6th november visit lulusar n dodipatsir lake 7th november visit lala zar valley 8th november leave naran arrive islamabad 9th november leave islamabad through train to karachi questions are raising that (1) what will be the fare from of private vehicle * lahore to islamabad * islamabad to naran * naran to saiful malook * naran to lalazar valley * naran to dodipatsir n lulusar lake (2)fare of a class hotel like dimanchi etc, of signle room for 5 peoples in islamabad and naran (3) which train shoul be choose from karachi to lahore n islamabad to karachi? as i have selected business train karachi to lahore (4) is it the right decision to have tin food from karachi?

how is hoteling in naran..? same costly like murree or one can get a proper and fair accomodation out there. If some one has visisted there lately with his family then please share his expirience .
