How can US citizens visit North Korea?

by sorekara323 Online Now Jul 31, 2003 at 5:45 AM

I am a US Citizen trying to visit North Korea. Every agency I have spoken too has said it is not possible these days to provide a visa. Does anyone know an agency or organization that can help? I am a Masters student in London, writing my dissertation on North Korea, and want to visit this fall.

You should perhaps try a Chinese agent - most travel to North Korea seems to be via China. Here's one with a tour of North Korea advertising on the web: chinanow.com/english/chtrave... and don't forget to read your State Department information - it has a bit of information on visas (if you haven't already): http://travel.state.gov/nkorea.html Hope this helps... Cheers, Jeremy

    North Korea visa agency help

Try Chollima Group. It's a new outfit based in London, I presume. There was some discussion of it on Lonely Planet's Thorn Tree earlier in spring. Another organization is Koryo Tours. They have advertised their services recently in Beijing's English language magazines.
