I will be bringing my 87 year old father to Nijmegen August 22-23, 2011. He helped liberate Mook, Groesbeek, Nijmegen. Is there anyone special he should meet while we are there?

We definitely want to try to visit sites where he was in the war. I will have to look at the Overloon museum - I don't know about it. In part I was wondering if perhaps someone at a museum would be interested in meeting with him. He's done quite a bit of writing about his experience.

It would help a bit if we knew where you were from - looking at the title, I'm guessing that he served with a US batallion?

I think it's a bit outside your specific question but you may be able to make contacts via the Airborne Museum in Oosterbeek near Arnhem. I grew up there but have no useful contacts I can think of. Worth a try! airbornemuseum.nl/language/e...
