Hi, I know this is not Juan les Pins – Antibes forum, but I see that one is barely alive since 2009. What do you think of the following itinerary: SNCF gare Juan les Pins – Blvrds Wilson – Kennedy Mitterand – SNCF gare Antibes (or bus 200 stop at Place Charles de Gaulle, although I don’t particularly like bus routes west of Nice) Or better the other way round? From Antibes to Juan ? I see all three McDonald’s places are in the outskirts. Any substitution on the route? I mean, cheap, predictable, always open, with a toilet. Yes, I understand – not a great chance as folks who stay at "Villa Aujourd'hui" apparently use their own. By the way, it is not closed yet? If you have been there recently – any trees or shade on the way? I’d rather not return to Nice well grilled. Thanks! And more questions to come :)
As usual, a stupid 'Old Russian' question: has anyone seen villa Thenard in Cap d'Antibes? It should be next to Jules Verne, if it still exists, that is.

Hi Moscow You have opted for the way I do it - start at Juan les Pins ( there is a good public loo at the far end of the beach direction Cannes) and walk through Les Pins towards Cap d'Antibes via the coastal road as far as the Napoleon Museum and Hotel Eden Roc and, then up the centre of Cap d'Antibes along Kennedy and Mitterand, but then Boulevard du Cap down to the coast by Port Salis, along the length of the beaches, and back via the old town (Saffranier) and commercial area back to Gare d'Antibes. Train Back to Nice. Experience of trying to get a 200 back to Nice is not good, as it is often packed by the time it arrives from Cannes. Villa Aujourdhui is still there en route - personalised numberplate of the car outside I took to be that of the French singer Calogero, so I assume its rented out for big money. Jules Verne's house is still there also en route - now in its second or third year of refurbishment ( by a Russuian I assume) It is a magnificent place with a wonderful view to the Esterel. Not found the heat a problem, and a hat should sort out the sun. I'ts a great excursion. Another time it might be worth diverting at the tip of Cap d'Antibes along side Eilen Roc (av Ms Beaumont) and Abramovitch's Chateau de la Croe to the sentier litoral, then along sentier the length of the coast to Antibes, Plage de la Garoupe, and the coastal road (Bacon) to Antibes proper. Can't speak for Macdonalds, but I guess if you are desperate...Enjoy!
