Camping in Nice / Moncao

Hey Guy's Am going to Nice on 1st July for 1 week and hiring a car. Am going to be taking a tent and am planning on driving around Nice / Monaco maybe up to Genoa and would be grateful if anybody has advice on good camp sites where you can stay 1 or 2 nights at a time? Is it possible to call in to camp sights on the day rather than booking?
