Hi!
I am looking for rental apartment/house/pension on vacations. We need have accomodation for 5 adults and 3 kids. we are planning be in Nice from 3th to 17th of August. Our childs are 10, 8 and 2 years. I dream this apartment is close to beach :-) I will be gratefull for help and any information.

Public transportation is cheap in Nice so you don't have to be near the beach if you find something you really like.

Last time I was in Nice I rented from interieurs-cour.com/en-index... (give my regards) - very nice owner, operates a restaurant, too, and literally in Place Massena (can't be more central). But you will have to book in advance, it's very much in demand

I use www.homelidays.com for years always tops.
do not know your budget ours are high over 1K€ the week, but plenty of properties lower than that near the beach ,and do get your accommodation from now for choice as August is big vacation time here, mine is already book elsewhere this year.

By the way, with so many tenants you may rather want a house.
Depending on what your own location is, why not try to swap one?

I only tried the first one - not for Nice, for Sweden, but it worked well.
