You can probaly get a better responce from someone who lives in Niagara on the Lake. I live about 2 hours away and visit at least 3 times a year. Really nice hotels are Queens Landing, Pillar and the Post, Prince of Whales, these are all owned by the same female. They are expensive by very very nice. There is the Oban Inn which is nice. I have stayed at Queens landing for 3 nights and a wedding. Weekends are expensive. We have stayed at the Royal Park which is very nice. The Moffat Inn has good reviews. I have never stayed but it is right downtown and very nice. check out the web sight www.niagaraonthelake.com it gives you all you need to know. We always eat at the Buttery Inn downtown. after 15 years of going there never had a bad lunch or supper yet. The also on Friday nights have a dinner show called the Henry the Viii feast. It is great. Any other questions drop me an e-mail Ed Bartlett

Most hotels in Niagara On the Lake are pricey. Although there are many Bed & Breakfasts which aren't too bad: http://www.lyonshousebb.com http://www.abacothall.com Alternatively, if you have a rented vehicle to get around with, you could stay in Niagara Falls instead. There is many inexpensive hotels throughout. http://www.comfortniagara.com http://www.qualityniagara.com

We'll be making our third visit to NOTL and the Shaw Festival this May, 2005. We've found that the best way to experience this city is by staying in a cottage or a bed and breakfast. There are ove 100 such places. What we did was browse the bed & breakfast web site posted by another VT member, and also the chamber of commerce web site, http://www.niagaraonthelake.com/. After we narrowed down our choices, and decided what features we wanted, we called the chamber at (905) 468-4263. For a fee of3.50 (Canadian), they helped us to find a place (deBoer's) with no smoking, a kitchen, private entrance, and a double jaccuzzi tub. Your preferences arre probably different than ours, but the C of C will be just as helpful.

Check out the King george III inn....low key, left on your own....clean though and the price is right...www.niagarakinggeorgeinn.com
Also, its on the site of the famous Jetboats www.whirlpooljet.com
Youre going to want to check that out....I think they have packages too.
