Going to Niagara May 15

by yankeepeddler Online Now May 6, 2012 at 4:16 PM

My wife and I are going to Niagara for 3 days with my parents. On day 1 we plan on a trip up to Niagara on the Lake - I've heard lots of good things about it. Day 2 is slated for the Falls and day 3 (1/2 day due to travel) is left open. Aside from the going behind the Falls and the Maiden of the Mist, any suggestions? Attractions, scenic rides and restaurants would be greatly appreciated.

Do a bus tour of some of the vineyards with lunch or dinner. Check the menues first. There are 4 or 5 vinevards that have restaurants.

Yes, visit some of the wineries. The Niagara region is one of the major Canadian wine regions and there are some excellent wineries out there. Iniskillin is near Niagara-on-the-Lake and is considered to be where the quality Niagara wines were first made.
