Hilton Fallsview hotel to Amtrak Niagara Falls (NY) station

We are staying in the Hilton Fallsview hotel next month and after a couple of nights stay we are taking a train from Niagara Falls NY Amtrak station to New York. We are just wondering if it would be possible to walk from the hotel over the border to the station or if not what the best way to get there would be? Thanks in advance
