Memorial Day Weekend

I'm thinking of booking a surprise trip to Toronto for my boyfriend's 30th birthday in May. We would arrive on Saturday 28th May, and would probably stay for 4 nights. I've just found out that it's Memorial Day weekend - does anybody know of anything special going on that would really make the trip memorable. I'd really appreciate any tips and ideas on what to do.
