Visiting Niagara Falls

Is it safe to visit Niagara Falls this weekend? I was going today (Fri. Aug. 15th), but the whole blackout made me a bit hesitant to go. I'm still trying to see if everything is ok in Buffalo, NY and the NY side of Niagara Falls. Any info is greatly appreciated.
