December rain?

Should I be expecting heavy rainfall in the central area in December? If so, maybe my beach time should be spent elsewhere, or willit more likely be a case of regular afternoon rainfall but ok beyond that? Thanks...

    I'm having some similar problems planning by VN trip. However, I'm definitely consider Pho Quoc Island, about an hour's flgt from HCMC for some quality beach time. It's described as pristine but rapidly growing..... good luck.
