I'm doing an overland trip through Kenya and Uganda for several weeks in December/January. My trip includes game drives at various parks, but going to the Serengeti and Ngorogoro Crater has always been a dream of mine. I'd like to do a quick trip to these places with a couple of game drives. Since I will have been on safari for a couple of weeks it doesn't need to be anything too fancy, just a quick experience in the parks. I have January 14th-22nd free in my schedule and I would like this tour to be 2 or 3 days in that time period.
I'd like to do this as cheaply as possible since I'm nearing the end of budget. A simple camping trip is fine. I'd also be willing to join a group if anyone is going then.
Also, I'll be based in Nairobi, but I suppose I could take one of the shuttles to Arusha.
Does anyone have any suggestions to get the cheapest possible trip? I guess I could also book it when I get there, but I'm a little worried about getting scammed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello, good evening. I'm planning to travel to Tanzania next year (aroun March-April) for an anthropological research. My plan is to go to Mwanza and stay at least 4 weeks. But I have some concerns, especially when it comes to safety (I will be travelling by myself and I'm a 24 year-old woman) and accomodation (since I'll be staying for at least a month I can't afford to stay in a 5 star hotel)... Any tips, comments or suggestions? Thank you very much!
Hi! I'm travelling in Sept./Oct. to Tanzania with husband, 5 year old and 8 year old and am curious as to drive times between Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, and Arusha. Also, any good safari companies to recommend? I am now dealing with Royal African Safaris and Unique Safaris. Anyone heard of them and any comments?
