      Wembley stadium camera restriction

      London Sep 20, 2015 at 10:57 AM

Greetings fellow VTrs, what type of cameras\lenses are allowed into sporting events at Wembley stadium? I'm attending the KC vs Lions game in November seated in the 500 section and will need a zoom lens on my SLR camera. Are cameras\lenses restricted by length or type? Are small backpacks allowed? I've contacted Wembley for info and haven't heard back in a week. Any help is greatly appreciated.

self-guided walk routes with offine map

      London Sep 11, 2015 at 8:25 AM

A few years back I was in London and had downloaded to my mobile an application which had several self-guided walk routes. The maps and info were downloaded on my mobile and the app used GPS to show where I was located, Points of interest with information on them and where I should be heading.

My friend is going to London on Sunday and I advised her to download the offline maps and routes in beforehand but now I can't find them anywhere!! Does anyone know which app I'm talking about, it should be an android app..? Anyone?

      Thanks in advance!

      Stonehenge and Bath

      London 15 hours ago

I would like to know the easiest way to visit Stonehenge and Bath from London. There are several tours, but they are above my budget. I am staying at Times Square/Hooper Street. How hard would it be to take the train or a bus from my apartment to Stonehenge and Bath. Is it a long walking distance from the train or bus station to Stonehenge or is there public transport to the sight? I am assuming the train or bus stops near the main sights in Bath. We would be visiting on a Friday morning. Thank you for your help.

I'm flying out for terminal 4 heathrow,i have thought about catching the national express to heathrow from Bristol, but it is damn expensive now (left it to late)
So my other option was to catch the megabus to victoria bus station (Bristol 4 am,London 6ish)
Am i correct in thinking, the last time a came to london i seen Heathrow on the tube map, flight is at 2.15,so plenty of time, and will only be carrying 1 backpack,so Luggage isn't a problem!!

      Hello all
I have just accepted a job offer in Bodmin and due to the nature of the work do not want to live there. We have looked at many places throughout Cornwall and have agreed on Newquay. Problem is we do not know the area in depth, is there areas we should avoid buying a house? I don't want to come across as snooty but want to avoid the council housing estates and bring up the kids in a nice area.

Harrington guest house + anyone recommend it please?

by LouiseTopp Online Now Jan 11, 2010 at 7:19 AM

On the last two weeks of June myself and my parents will be staying at the Harrington guest house in Newquay. I would like to hear from anyone else who has stayed there and what it is like? My parents are senior citizens and I read that anyone can run a six bedroomed guesthouse, and not be registered with the council or have any fire safety certificate which is a bit worrying.

Please put my mind at rest before i send off the deposite? Many thanks.

      Halloween in Newquay

by karen_mo Online Now Aug 26, 2008 at 5:45 AM

      Hi there,

We always loved going to Newquay for New Year, been going for the last 10 years, but starting to feel it's changing (or we're just getting older perhaps!) and the original pub crawl/families out in fancy dress culture has gone a little more clubby. We were wondering if anyone has experience of Halloween and whether the town comes out in force like it does at New Year. Can you do a pub crawl without tickets? Is it a worth a little weekend visit? Would love your views!

      Thanks, Karen

      cottages or accommodation in newquay?

by ben_england Online Now Mar 12, 2003 at 3:48 AM

Hi guys- Has anybody got any suggestions for a group of (fairly poor) young people staying a weekend in Newquay? A cottage or nice hostel would be nice as the only other option we've had suggested is Sunnyside caravan park, which sounds like it's a fair way out of town. Near fistral would be absolutely ideal! Cheers in advance, Ben
