    Yes its a good idea, maybe the best place to be in the North of England. Newcastle is famous for its nightlife, New Years Eve will be buzzing, the pubs and clubs will be packed but there are plenty of them. I am sure there will be a Geordie along soon with more detailed advice, in the meantime look here; clubzone.com/nye/index.asp?c...

    book your hotel early plenty of cheap travel inns/lodges holiday inn etc, and enjoy the party either in toon or down the quayside( this will be wild) will be made welcome whichever bars or clubs you visit not sure if fireworks on this year but will check brian
