I usually fly into LGA, but will be leaving out of EWR tomorrow night. I'm a cheapskate and prefer public transportation. I've read that bus #62 takes you from Penn station to EWR. Is that right? Any particulars I need to know? Where exactly do I catch it. How long can I reasonably expect it to take? My flight is at 7:45pm. Thanks!

Is there a morning train from Manhattan to Long Island on Mondays? I've tried the LIRR site, but can't find a definitive answer. Thanks!
I'm going to go to Paoli, PA from New York, NY with AMTRAK. The sign on the schedule says the train has no checked bags. But I have to bring my big bag because I will continue the trip (also with AMTRAK) to Washington DC then head home to Indonesia. Is it possible to just bring the luggage with me even if it says no checked bag?
Has anyone road this on motorcycle, what are the best places to stop and view the canyon?
...or just the auto body shops I see on Google? Coming by subway so I am looking for something a short distance from the ballpark.
outdoors, lots of energy requred activities but also intersting museums for example.
What is the price from JFK to Brooklyn?
we will be spending a week in NY this summer and have an offer of accommodation in this neighborhood.
is this a particularly "bad" area?
or just normal crime rate comparable to most of Manhatten and Brooklyn?
Hey guys, I will be flying to India from Chicago next month via New York. Chicago to New York will be with JetBlue (booked full itinerary through Emirates). I have a 9 hrs. stopover in new York and would like to visit Manhattan.
Can anyone tell me what's the best thing to do with my bags in the meantime? I will have 2 checked and a carryon. Emirates guy over the phone told me I had to pick up my bags, go through security and finish customs and recheck in for Emirates flight. Has anyone gone through this process
We are going to be flying into Buffalo, NY and driving to Watertown, NY for a week's stay. What are the 'do not miss' places to experience along the way? Food, art, culture, etc. I'm from the west coast and would love to take home memories that are meaningful about New York state.
Hi guys! We'll be in Manhattan March30-April2 then NJ til the 4th and Long Island til April 7. I know this week is the official Spring time but was wondering if there are areas near the places i mentioned that we can see some decent snow? Not really for skiing but where my 4 yr old can play and experience it? Blame it on the movie Frozen she's been asking to see snow and we live in a tropical country! Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
is the first electric chair located in a restaurant in auburn?
I'm trying to get from LaGuardia Airport to an Inn in Lake Placid via mass transportation to the greatest extent such a thing is possible and the cheapest way possible. I'm even considering a car service for of the trek as prices seem to be cheaper than those of traditional cabs. Any and all advice welcome. This will be my first time skiing in the Adirondack and I'm hoping I can have a good time sans-car!
help with kosher restaurants open over Christmas 2014 please.
Hi can anybody reckon a good company for boat tours down the Hudson River going past Liberty, Ellis Island, Staten Island etc? Thank you x

Hi can any of you New Yorkers give me a heads up on the weather right now? I am visiting NY for my holiday 14th March and need to know what to pack. I know it has been snowing but is it settling? Will I need full winter gear :)

What are this rustic cabins like.Has anyone stay here. Please a description on the accomodation and facilities .We are staying for two nights in order to do the rim trail.Thank you.
I checked warnings and dangers, but there wasn´t any new tips about pick pockets. Is there lots of them or not so much at all-or something like in big cities in Europe too.. I have a brand new camera, witch is more expensive than my older one, even if it´s not anythin really fancy. Just wondering if I can take photos there without worrying too much? Like in some towns we have been, I have taken my much smaller camera with me in some areas, when they say there is lots of pick pockets. But I get so much better photos with this one, and even if it´s much bigger, it´s much lighter too. (Because it´s 6 years "younger"). If there is only some areas, where those are really "rude" and don´t try to pick in seacred, Icould then take the small one, but if those are everywhere, there is maybe no sense taking both with me.
I know in some places there are those pick pockets, who might take your camera while you are shooting photos. That´s what I was thinking about. Of course in big towns you must allways keep your money safe, not in backbag etc, but the camera (this one) I can´t just put under my jacket all the time. We are leaving day after tomorrow, and I´m wondering should I take both cameras, or only the old one. I love taking photos, and this town is something SO different we´ve seen before, that I think my husband needs to be patient for all my "filming" ;)
Is Ellis Island open? We plan to go back to New York this July. Thanks.
Coming for a college visit to Oswego and was going to stay the night in Syracuse. Is there any areas we should avoid?
Looking for good sports bars in the Midtown West/Times Square area. For me, good means baseball/hockey (not soccer), lots of TV's with good beer prices (not likely) and decent food as priorities, in that order. Thanks
is there a place other than empire state building to see the skyline?
My husband is a heavy user of Converse- shoes, and likes also to find some models not sold in here. I´ve heard there is a huge Converse store in NY and the shoes are cheaper than in here, but with Google I will find 4 addresses. So is there one witch is the biggest?
I am visiting in April and plan to go to 1 or 2 ballgames. I don't want to buy tickets in advance in case the weather is bad but don't want to wait to get them at the stadium either if possible. It appears the Yankee Clubhouse stores sell tickets but I can only find one Mets shop (at 11 42nd St W) that sells Mets tickets. Is there any other locations where I can find them? Thanks.
The hotel address is 764 4th Avenue. Someone allready told us to take train to Jamaica, Queens from airport, and then take LIRR from there. I don´t find anything named LIRR in my guidebook (updated at 2014, so it´s brand new). Is it a metro or what, and does it go close to our hotel.
Never been in THIS BIG city, and even we have traveled a lot, first time for ages I´m little nervous of getting from airport to hotel. We don´t want to use money to the taxi anyway.
