My family & I along w/some friends will be flying in on 7/26 & staying the night before we headed up to Cooperstown. I'm looking for a hotel around LaGuardia to stay the night. Any suggestions or help would be great. We arrive in NY around 10 AM so we definitely want to go to the city & explore for that day. Thanks so much,
Depending on your budget there are plenty of hotels available for you basically across the street from the airport. HOWEVER the transportation into NYC is difficult from this location since it really is not near any easy public transportation. May I suggest that you check on hotels in Long Island City which is closer to NYC, easy commute into the city and then up to Cooperstown. Also for the ride up to Cooperstown you can rent the car off the airport property and save some money on the car rental, though I do not know where you are returning the car to which could make a difference in the rate.
