How difficult is it to travel from the Sequacus/Lyndhurst area to Manhatten? Any details and/or suggestions you can provide will be appreciated.

I think you mean Secaucus, NJ? If so, it's very easy to get to Manhattan. The train from Secaucus Junction to Penn Station, New York takes less than 10 minutes. Check www.njtransit.com for timings/fares.

While the train from Secaucus Junction train station to Manhattan is frequent on weekdays, there are NO hotels within walking distance of the train station. Your only option is the bus which is dependent on traffic through the Lincoln Tunnel.

Several hotels (with free parking if you have a car) within 2 miles of the train station. If you have a car, you can park cheaply at the station as well. Much rather take the train than bus if it's an option.
