Hi everybody, I'm travelling with some pals from the UK and we cannot miss Englands opening game in the European finals. Where can we find a great bar with lots of other england fans to enjoy the game?

Hey Jools - can't vouch for any of these personally but in case no one jumps in here, take a look at this list: livesoccertv.com/pubs/new-yo...

Nevada Smith's, on 3d Avenue, either between East 10 and E. 11, or E. 11 and E. 12 Sts in the East Village. It's a UK watering hole where "football" means "soccer."

Apparently, Nevada Smith's are redeveloping their premises and are currently in temporary premises in Webster Hall - 125, East 11th Street (between 3rd & 4th Avenues) according to their website http://www.nevadasmiths.net/ What they don't say is how long they will be there so I would suggest you check back nearer the date of Euro 2012.

Looked at lots of the places mentioned and like the sound of Nevada Smiths or Football Factory at Legends so will have to have a trial run and choose when we get to NYC.

Red Lion Bleeker Street is a good choice, it's in Greemwich Village cool neighborhood. Manchester Pub is good also.
